JOI AI App in 2026: No Store Download, Two Web Apps, and How to Log In on Your Phone

Disclosure: I (Charles) wrote this with an AI drafting assistant, then checked each claim and edited the result. The links below to JOI AI, Candy AI, Ourdream AI, Lovescape and Kupid AI carry my affiliate code, which means a paid sign-up through one of them can earn me money; your price doesn't change and no other company named here pays me. For adults (18+) only. This is desk research done on 6 October 2026, from JOI's terms, its help centre, the web-app manifests on joi.ai and joi.com, and Apple's and Google's store listings. I haven't kept JOI on a phone for weeks myself, so read it as a researched guide rather than a personal test.

People who search for a JOI AI app usually want one of three things: a download link, a way to make the site behave like an app on their phone, or help getting past the login screen. Here's the plain answer to the first one. JOI doesn't publish an app in Apple's App Store or on Google Play. Its terms describe the service as offered through the website joi.ai and its subdomains, and both of JOI's domains ship a web-app manifest instead, which lets your browser pin the site to the home screen and open it full-screen. That's the "app".

The rest of this page covers the traps around that answer first, then the install steps for each phone, the login problems JOI's own help centre addresses, what the free account and Premium actually include on mobile, and how the other four companion services compare if you mainly use a phone.

The downsides to know before you install anything

  • Listings with "Joi" in the name belong to other companies. On 6 October Apple's US store returned "JOI: Meet New People" (an individual developer, rated 12+) for the search "joi", and Google Play shows "Joi - Live Video Chat" from VLMedia, "Joi App" from Szupia and "Joi Events" from Cyberbia. None of those sellers appears in JOI's terms. An App Store listing called "Joi – AI Companion" that we noted in an earlier guide no longer showed up in Apple's search that day.
  • JOI's operator does have an iPhone app, but it's a different product. Novi Limited, the Cyprus company named in JOI's terms, sells EVA AI Soulmate on the App Store (17+, around 24,600 ratings). Nothing in JOI's terms or help centre says a JOI login, Premium plan or Neuron balance carries over to it, so assume it doesn't.
  • There are two JOI web apps, and they aren't identical. joi.ai's manifest names itself "JOI AI"; joi.com calls itself "JOI AI WebApp", and its page title makes clear it's the explicit-content side. Pick the domain you mean to use before you pin it.
  • You can't manage billing through Apple or Google. Because nothing is bought in a store, there's no store subscription to cancel or refund. JOI's terms say you can modify or cancel a paid plan only on the website where you bought it, under My Subscriptions. Deleting the home-screen icon stops nothing.
  • Character add-ons cancel separately. A "Bot Subscription" to one character needs active Premium, and cancelling Premium doesn't automatically cancel it, per section 3 of the terms.
  • Prices sit behind a login. JOI shows no public price list, so the dollar figures below for Premium are third-party readings, labelled as such.
  • The phone camera may be asked for. JOI's age-verification article says that, depending on your region, accessing Premium or explicit content can trigger a VerifyMyAge check: an email-based background check, a face-age estimate using your device camera, or an ID upload. JOI says it keeps no copies of ID documents.

Putting JOI on an iPhone

JOI's help centre has no install article, so these are the standard Safari steps for any site that ships a web-app manifest, which joi.ai and joi.com both do:

  1. Open Safari and type joi.ai (or joi.com) into the address bar yourself.
  2. Log in first, so the pinned icon opens straight into your account.
  3. Tap Share, scroll to Add to Home Screen, keep or edit the name, and tap Add.

The manifest tells iOS to launch it in standalone mode, meaning no Safari toolbar, and joi.ai also locks it to portrait. Updates arrive whenever JOI updates its site; there's no version to download.

Go here if you're on an iPhone and searched for an App Store download: this is the official route, it's free, and it takes about thirty seconds.

Putting JOI on Android

  1. Open Chrome and go to joi.ai or joi.com.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Open the three-dot menu and tap Install app or Add to Home screen, whichever your version shows.

You don't need to switch on "install unknown apps", and you shouldn't. Any page offering a JOI AI APK or a modded file with free Neurons isn't from JOI, and installing it means trusting a stranger with your login.

Go here if you use Android and were about to sideload something: pinning it from Chrome hands you the genuine JOI, logged in to the account you already use on a computer.

JOI AI login problems on a phone

Most "JOI AI login" trouble on mobile comes down to the emailed code. The help centre's advice, in order:

  • Check spam or junk first and search for "JOI" or "noreply"; that's where the code usually lands.
  • Re-check the email address you typed. One wrong character sends the code somewhere else.
  • Give it a few minutes, then tap "Resend code" on the login page.
  • Add noreply@joi.com to your contacts so later emails arrive normally.

If you need to move the account to a new address, there's no self-service button; JOI asks you to email support@joi.com with the old and new addresses.

When the page itself misbehaves, the glitches article suggests clearing the browser cache, trying another browser or a private tab, and turning off VPNs and ad-blockers, which can block parts of the site. If a character starts looping or drifting, "Reset Memory" in the chat settings starts a clean conversation. The interface comes in English, German, French, Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese, switched from the profile icon.

What you get on mobile: free account, Premium and Neurons

The phone version is the website, so the rules are the same everywhere.

Free (Basic). The help centre gives free accounts six image generations for the account's lifetime, with results kept for seven days, so save anything you want to keep. Each batch can hold up to 12 images. Generating pictures of a specific character uses Neurons rather than those free credits.

Neurons. JOI's separate currency pays for anything a subscription doesn't cover. The terms put a number on three things: 4 Neurons to open a single romantic message, as many as 120 to view a photo and as many as 1,900 to view a video, depending on the theme. What a Neuron costs in cash isn't published; the help centre only says larger packs have a better per-unit rate, and free ones appear during events on JOI's Discord.

Premium. JOI bills monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly. Independent reviewers who reached checkout in September 2026 reported a one-month plan at $13.99, three months at $20.99 and a full year at $47.99 (third-party; your regional price may differ). Officially, a yearly subscriber's allowances still reset on the same date each month, and whatever is left over is added to the next month rather than lost. The terms list text, voice and, "where available", a Video Call Feature; that feature needs camera and microphone permission, and its availability varies by device, region and plan, so don't count on video calls from your phone.

Paying from a phone. To change or remove a card, tap the Neuron counter at the top right of the screen, scroll the pop-up and pick "Manage my payment info". If a payment fails, JOI's help centre notes that some banks flag adult platforms and suggests a quick call to the bank, or a prepaid Visa or Mastercard.

For the long version of these rules, including refunds, our JOI AI guide on Medium walks through each one, and the full JOI AI review on this blog covers features.

Go here if you want a big catalogue of ready-made characters on your phone without committing first: start with a free JOI AI account, pin it, and look at your own checkout price before choosing a plan.

How the other companion services handle phones

None of the four below has an official store app either, and each serves a web-app manifest you can pin the same way. What differs is what you'll pay once it's on the home screen.

Candy AI is the visuals pick. Pictures in chat, generated video clips, Live Action scenes and Roulette are all there. What limits you is tokens: per its subscriptions page (rechecked 6 October), a plan starts at $9.99 for month one and renews at $13.99 monthly, with $26.97 quarterly and $47.88 yearly as the alternatives, and every plan bundles unlimited text with a monthly 100-token allowance. A 5-second clip takes 12 of those tokens and a 10-second clip 20, according to Candy's own page code. Our Candy AI app guide covers its home-screen install. Go here if pictures and clips matter most and you'll budget tokens: Candy AI.

Ourdream AI is browser-only too. Its help centre (edited 17 July 2026, rechecked today) lists Premium monthly at $19.99, or $119.88 paid once a year; either way 1,000 Dreamcoins arrive each month, and annual buyers get 2,000 on day one. Expect to pay to get real use out of it. Go here if you care about building a detailed character and long roleplay more than video: Ourdream AI.

Lovescape links a manifest from its homepage, so it pins like the others. Its help centre publishes no prices; outside reviewers who reached the checkout quote about $19.99 monthly and $95.88 for a year (third-party). Officially, its chips never expire. Go here if you dip in now and then and dislike credit that runs out: Lovescape.

Kupid AI is the odd one on billing. Its plan table (rechecked today) gives free users 15 messages; Pro costs $12.99 weekly or $179 yearly, Ultra $24.99 weekly or $299 yearly, lifetime access is $777, and no month-to-month option is offered. A countdown "75% off" banner was running when I looked. Go here if voice messages are your thing and you'd commit yearly: Kupid AI.

FAQ

Is there a JOI AI app for iPhone?
Not one published by JOI. Add joi.ai or joi.com to your home screen from Safari's Share menu instead.

Can I download a JOI AI APK for Android?
There's no official APK. Use Chrome's Install app option; avoid files promising free Neurons.

Is EVA AI the same thing as JOI AI?
No. The same Cyprus company publishes EVA AI Soulmate, but it's a separate product, and JOI's documents don't say your JOI account works there.

Why isn't my JOI login code arriving?
Look in spam for "JOI" or "noreply", confirm the address, wait a few minutes and tap Resend code. Adding noreply@joi.com to your contacts helps.

How do I cancel JOI if I joined on my phone?
On the same website you paid on, under My Subscriptions. Cancel any character Bot Subscription separately, and don't rely on removing the icon.

Does the phone version cost more?
No. It's the same website and account, so the free allowance, Premium and Neuron prices are the same on any device.
